Dr. Lisa Sain Odom, soprano, is a singer and actor equally comfortable in the worlds of opera, theatre, and film and has performed a wide variety of roles and concert solos in America and Europe.
OPERA AND MUSICAL THEATRE
Favorite opera and musical theatre roles include Musetta (La Boheme); Papagena (Die Zauberflöte); Anne Page (The Merry Wives of Windsor); Isabelle/Madeline (The Face in the Barroom Floor); Monica (The Medium); Angelina (Trial by Jury); Baker's Wife (Into the Woods); Julie Jordan (Carousel); and Anna I (Seven Deadly Sins).
YOUNG ARTIST AND CONCERT SOLOIST
As a young artist Dr. Odom participated in the Opera Carolina summer opera studio and the American Institute of Musical Studies Opera Studio in Graz, Austria. She has sung concert solos such as Mozart's Missa Brevis and Exsultate jubilate; Bach's Wachet auf Ruft uns die Stimme; Faure's Requiem; and Pergolesi's Stabat mater, with companies such as GLOW Lyric Theatre, Palmetto Opera, Fountain Inn Symphony Orchestra, Foothills Philharmonic, The South Carolina Philharmonic and in the Chiesa di Sant'Andrea in Orvieto, Italy.
THE BLONDE, THE BRUNETTE AND THE REDHEAD
The BBR is a soprano trio co-founded by Dr. Odom and fellow sopranos Catherine Froneberger Siarris and Leigha Pace Keller. The three have performed concerts throughout the Southeast singing opera trios and arias, art songs, musical theatre trios, jazz and spirituals. They are best known for their soprano trio arrangements of famous arias, including those first made famous by The Three Tenors.
