Dr. Odom's love of performing first came from performing in plays and musicals, and as her career has progressed, she has performed a variety of roles in professional theatre. Some of her favorites include The Baker's Wife (Into the Woods); Jeanie (Brigadoon); Julie Jordan (Carousel); Sister Sophia (The Sound of Music); Jessie Cates ('night, Mother); Annette Raleigh (God of Carnage); Pastor's Wife (The Christians); and she originated the role of K.D. McLady in Dogs: the Musical which premiered at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC. She has also served as a vocal coach and music director for a variety of musical productions including Rent, Bright Star, She Loves Me, A Year with Frog and Toad, Godspell, andTwo Gentlemen of Verona.

She has appeared in commercials, industrials and independent films that have shown in festivals throughout America and Europe. She has appeared on screen in films starring George Clooney, Robert Downey Jr., Amada Seyfried and Channing Tatum, Jennifer Lawrence, Janet Jackson, Anika Noni Rose and Whoopi Goldberg. Her soprano voice can be heard in the short film Yard Sale which was selected for the Cannes Short Film Festival. She received the Star Award for Best Actor in the Indie Gathering Film Festival after her appearance in the short film Dirt Cheap Therapy.​
VOICEOVER
Voiceover has been a particularly enjoyable part of Dr. Oodm's performance career. While she has worked on a variety of commercial and film projects, some of her favorite voiceover work has been voicing a wide variety of characters for the short stories of Shadowdog Productions.
